Science Museum - La Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie
Located in a large urban renewal site dedicated to the culture and leisure, the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie was completed in 1986 with a mandate to educate visitors about the science and technology. Designed by architect Adrien Fainsilber and based on five themes, water and earth, the universe, industry, communication, and men and health, the City has received nearly 40 million visitors since it opened its doors on March 13, 1986, coinciding with the arrival of Halley's Comet. Located in the Parc de la Villette, which was previously a huge slaughter, with a surface 55 hectares, this highly innovative complex is one of the greatest scientific and cultural centers in the world and consists of several individual sites.

Geodes why so expensive?
geodes stores sell a lot of money (100s or even 1000). And I saw online that you can make your own geodes geodes and some sold on eBay for $ 10. what determines the value of the geodes? Why do not people make artificial pockets if the kit is available on the Internet that is, why would anyone pay $ 1000 for a pocket?
