Meteorite or Moldavite - Which would make a better gift?

Hi, odd question but hopefully Im posting in the right place!

Im looking for an unusual gift for my brothers 40th, I know hes into astronomy and want to get him a meteorite. I know very little about it but through searching online I have come across Moldavite which is very pretty but I understand its origins are unknown (ie whether it is a meteorite or it was formed when a meteorite struck earth).

So Im down to two choices the silvery looking genuine meteorites or the glassy green moldavite. Which is more of a special gift for an astronomer?

Hes into Astronomy..... he already has a telescope! And I dont have quite that budget.
Oh also have seen an etched iron spherical meteorite with nice Widmanstatten figures and inclusions, does the fact thats its been altered make it less special? By which I mean would it be better rough and 'as it comes'...?

For an astronomer and a man, definitely Meteorite!

I would give Moldavite only to some who is very much into spirituality. Moldavite is a spiritual stone which is supposed to radiate "Energy."

The silvery looking "rough" meteorites look more natural.
