Main types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic

Igneous rocks are rocks formed by solidification of cooled magma. Magma is a fluid substance and theoretically is formed at high temperatures. Molten rock is formed at high temperature deep in the crust. Rock begins to melt beyond a certain temperature and this temperature is theoretically situated in a line called the solidus, that below this line, the solids begin to melt. Magma that takes to the surface of the earth is called lava. This, then, the magma and recalls that igneous rocks form when magma cools and therefore forms a solid substance. When magma cools to form rock beneath the Earth's surface is called intrusive rock as on the surface of the earth is extrusive or volcanic rock. Cooling is magma that forms igneous rocks. This cooling is slow and coarse rock is below. The classification of igneous rocks is important and two important indicators are the composition of the rock, and the nature of the cooling process of magma. The cooling process of magma is therefore an important process and central to the formation of igneous rock. There are many minerals that can be specifically identified as important in the composition of igneous rocks. These minerals have been identified as important: feldspar, quartz, olivine, pyroxene, amphibole and mica.

sedimentary rock is also one of the three main types of rock. Common types of rock such as chalk, limestone, dolomite, sandstone, conglomerates and shales belonging to the group of sedimentary rocks. The sediment is a word important and is defined in a basic way as solids deposited on a bed beneath the surface of water or liquids, so that sediments are deposited solids on a flat base or a liquid is usually water. The sediment is both what is called the particles carried through the liquid or air or even by wind and the glacier to its final location where they are deposited. The entire process leading to the deposition of solid particulate matter is important. As the cooling magma igneous rocks which is the ultimate repository and particle transport issue is important here. The place where it is deposited matter seems to be generally in the sea as the water and lakes. A note now in the three main types of sedimentary rock and you can get an idea of the nature of the sedimentary rocks of this simple classification. There are 1) sedimentary rocks which are composed of clastic clasts or fragments of rocks of different met. Quartz is an important mineral in these rocks. Feldspar, amphibole and clay minerals are also important minerals. Then the second class of 2) biochemical rocks are formed from materials produced or formed by living organisms. The stone Limestone is an example and limestone is composed of calcite that is generated from living organisms such as mollusks at the bottom of the sea. 3) Chemistry class is the final precipitate formed when solutions evaporate minerals. Note that the sea water is classified as a mineral solution. Halite and gypsum which are known as evaporite minerals are examples of chemical precipitates class.

Metamorphic is the latest example. It is formed by metamorphism or change in the form of an existing rock. The important question is how this change in the way it happens. Pressure and temperature extremes is what causes the existing rock or protolith of change in form. Metamorphic rocks can be be for example within the crust by the extreme temperature and pressure of rock layers above it. Interestingly, specific minerals are called Index minerals that form because of this high temperature and pressure levels. Examples are Kyanite, andalusite and Garnet and minerals so it is specifically metamorphic rock. An important process in rocks is metamorphic foliation. This process results in the formation of minerals and bands together in layers. Gneist, slate and marble, are examples of metamorphic rocks.

Andalusite
Where are the precious metals?

I'm doing a geography project I have to create an island (design features, vegetation, climate and mineral resources). I wonder where the following metals / gems are (as in: mountains, streams, underground, weather hot or cold, etc). I do not care about scientific facts (like how they do), just where they are. Here is my list: iron, steel, gold, silver, diamonds, topaz (orange), Aquamarine, agate, Opal, lace, zircon, sphene, Tanzanite stone, sun, apatite, andalusite, moonstone, silica. Obviously, if you do not know this, that's fine.

You can find in the form of ore from different systems such as volcanic massive sulphide, magmatic geothermal systems and much more, much depends on how the metals are concentrated, of course, for us to mine a substantial amount
